About Me:
I have just gotten my first pembroke corgi. I love her so much and think she is hilarious. But I have a lot to learn as she can be quite a handful. I work from home in London.

No
About My Corgi(s):
My corgi is Gwen. She was born on the 2nd of November 2014. She is red and white, but as more colour comes it appears to be going sable! She is a bit of a velcro dog, and is definitely hitting the rambunctious stage! She will do anything for a bit of food.
I have:

corgi nipping help

Posted on February 1, 2015 at 10:32am 16 Comments

Hello,

I am new to my corgi, and I am hoping I am posting this in the right place.

Long story short, I have a 13 week old puppy and while she does learn pretty quickly, she is also stubborn! The biggest problem we are having is getting her to stop attacking our feet and ankles especially when we are walking. It really hurts, and the tradition techniques of trying to swap a toy out or yelling "ouch!" aren't working. This is especially distressing to my husband who fears…

Good for the UK. Sage is my own pup and also has her tail. So do all my pups that I had...many people in the US also like the tails and I have had people from all over the US fly in to get a tailed corgi as I won't put my pups on a plane either unless they are flying in the cabin with their new owner:) If you look at my pics and videos you will see their tails:)

Our Java nips a bit too!

We found that "ouch!" only works when he's chewing too hard on our fingers, doesn't work on trousers/shoes/legs with him. Its almost like as if he doesn't know there's skin and flesh under those trousers and really goes for it. Things have been much better though since we taught him "leave it".

He still tries to nip every now and then but no more tugging on the trousers at least!

P.S. Gwen is such a pretty girl. More photos please!
