Wobble Kong

We  switched breakfast for our almost 1 yr old Tasha from a bowl to the wobble Kong because she has been exhibiting some signs that she is bored and has been gaining weight. She's up to 28.5 pounds…Continue

This morning for the 3rd time Tasha slipped out the front door off leash and gave me a good run for my money along with 2 neighbors and 1 of the neighbor's dogs.  We eventually caught the little…Continue

Well, the rain is back here in No. CA and Tasha hasn't done a potty run since before bed last night, 12 hours ago. How have others handled this.  We have a small area just off the patio that is…Continue

Check Up treats from Costco

Posted on December 6, 2010 at 6:22pm 4 Comments

On one of these snack discussions (that I can't find now) recently, someone recommended the Check-up treats/chew things from Costco. We got some on our next trip and for a time, as directed on the package, we were giving Tasha 1/2 of one every day.

Now we've discovered she is hiding them all over the house, in the sofa, a chair, behind things, etc. Has anyone else had this happen. We hope to keep her teeth healthy and at first she was eating them. Now she seems to know where…

Toys for Christmas

Posted on December 2, 2010 at 1:57pm 6 Comments

My dh, aka G, loves playing with the laser pointer with Tasha. He has been seeing "remote control things" on tv lately. He wanted me to ask if there is some sturdy activity toy out there that he could get Tasha for Christmas. The weather is awful here, plus being very cold, so walks (or runs) are few and far between. Tasha sleeps a lot and seems bored except for Tuesdays when she goes to Doggy Camp and plays with her friends.

Short of getting another puppy, we are trying to be…

Doggie t-shirts

Posted on November 18, 2010 at 8:04pm 3 Comments

Can anyone help me with instructions on how to convert a people t-shirt into a doggie t-shirt. The owner of the day camp that Tasha goes to once or twice a week gave me one of their t-shirts when they gave Tasha her prize for winning their Halloween Costume Party.

I laundered it and it shrunk! I keep looking at it and thinking it would be cute on Tasha if I can figure out how to convert it somehow.....

Corgi Faire in Dixon, CA yesterday

Posted on November 15, 2010 at 3:49pm 2 Comments

It looked to us like everyone and their Corgis had a great time yesterday. It was our first time and we must have had confused looks on our faces because everyone wanted to know if we were new corgi parents. The games were fun to watch.....Limbo (how low can your corgi go), bowling and Mummy which involved a whole roll of T.P. We entered the costume contest and Tasha won 4th place in the cutest catagory. She won a stuffed white llama and a rope like frisbee thing. She loves the llama and…

I'm afraid looks can be decieving with Cooper & Harley. It's a relationship in progress. Sometimes I have to wade in...I'm not sure who I'm rescuing Harely from Cooper or Cooper from getting himself smacked but good! Don't quite know how Harley has made it through all the puppyhoods..after all he's at least 15 yrs old. He just tolerates so much.Such a trooper and Cooper is ALL BOY! Looking forward to some pic...I know it can take sometime to figure all this tech stuff out...I know I'm still learning...Take care...L
