A Tribute to Barney - April 29, 1999 - May 30, 2011
A little bundle of joy
Brought home so long ago
We fell for him right from the start
The love was real, we know
At first it seemed he was ours to keep
So safe and sound…but, no
For looking back we realize
He came to help us grow
To teach of love unconditional
And friendship with no end
To make you feel a special way
He had broken hearts to mend
Always making welcome
Whoever would drop by
And help you through the sad times
With comfort when you cried
It’s true that living in our hearts
Even when they’re gone
Will keep alive the memories
That helps us to go on
But still we shed so many tears
The pain is real and deep
We think of all that we have lost
And dream of him in sleep
But now he runs and plays all day
Corki and Christi at his heel
The aches and pains will be no more
Only good things will he feel
And now he watches over us
To see that we’re okay
And we will keep on missing him
Until we meet again one day
We miss you, Barney

Very sad today, We lost our precious little Barney yesterday morning after 12 wonderful years. My furkids are with me 24/7 and Barney went to work with me everyday- We loved him so much! It's been a tough day but, I know we couldn't ask him to stay any longer with the pain he was in. We did all we could and more but, his little soul was ready to rest.
I still have his brother, Andy (also 12) and will be giving him extra hugs. Life is so precious!…

Dear Rhonda, It is hard to think about another one. But I think that God takes them home so that another one can come into our lives! I started by just looking at Petfinder.com and when the Corgi's finally looked interesting to me I knew it was time to start looking for real! Turns out I found a Breeder just two miles from my house! www.carlinskennels.com she was wonderful to me. I also contacted Debbie Cox from the Corgi Rescue and she had just taken in two Corgi's ....maybe you could contact her about them? She had a Mother and Son. Both sounded nice, she probably knows more about them now. Are you coming to the Corgi Picnic?
