My younger sister begged for a Corgi for years, and she finally got Tink for Christmas of 2004. I fell in love with her, and so did my then boyfriend Peter. Peter and I bought our first Corgi Ella, and we shared our love with his family. Soon, his parents adopted an 8-year-old Corgi in need of a new home Charlie. Since, Charlie has come to live with us, and we are in Corgi Heaven :)
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
We believe Ella is a Pembroke, as neither of her parents had tails...but she has a tail, and we were told they shouldn't have to be docked. Regardless, we left her tail, and it's super cute and dead useful for grabbing onto her as she tries to run from bathtime. Charlie is purebred Pembroke for sure...and a monster.
Ella is our spoiled little princess; she loves to herd through the house and talk to us. Her favorite place in the world is snuggled up on Peter's chest.
Charlie is our monster Corgi. He's one of the biggest I've ever seen, and he's not overweight. He will play ball until his feet bleed, which happens more than we would like because he drags his front feet when he runs. He's been a great addition to our family!
Welcome to you and your 2 Pems. No doubt that they're both Pems. The only thing I'm confused about it Peter. You referred to Peter in you bio as your "then boyfriend." Yet, his name and photo keep popping up. Am I right in assuming that you're now married? I know what happens when I assume, haha! Anyhow, regardless of your relationship with Peter, I greet you, Peter and your beautiful corgis.
Welcome Alison, Ella and Charlie! Your corgis are beautiful. Oh yes, Ella is all Pem with a gorgeous tail, just like Sidney's. His breeder had emergency dental surgery and couldn't dock Sidney or his brother in the time span. We're so glad he kept his tail! He really stands out at the corgi meetups, and he's a great spokesdog when it come to tail docking. I think we are often told that corgis are born without tails when in truth, most are docked within a few days of birth.
