Hi Casey, You sound like a very nice and very mature young man..I am an old lady to you.....but....whatever.....I think it is brilliant that you are thinking about being a vet. Since I live in Manhattan, KS....you know we have a great vet school associated with Kansas State University, right? :-) Make sure you study hard in high school and take most of the science/math oriented courses to prepare you for your pre-vet undergrad degree......I used to teach at KSU and the pre-vet courses are challenging because getting into vet school is not super easy....I actually think some of the pre-vet students were smarter than the pre-med ones....... You will do fine if you like these kinds of courses and stay focused on your goals. Perhaps, you and your girlfriend will want to go into the same area and end up running your own vet clinic together! Anyway, you will ADORE your new Corgi when you get it from your Dad's house. I think you will learn from this site that Corgis are smart and have a playful loving nature. I hope you and your dogs have a wonderful time in Kansas and I wish you all the best!
