We lost our Corgi (Emmy) on October 12, 2007 to a rare Wild Animal Bacteria carried by infective Skunks and a few other animals. Emmy was only 7 years old when we lost her. She was loved by everyone, especially the kids, we always knew where she was when there were any kids around. She especially loved to play with anyone in the water.
WOW...i just stumbled across this page because the picture in the profile looks so much like my Rosie. As a corgi lover, they all look so different to me and i rarely find any that remind me of corgis that i know...nonetheless, emmy really really makes me miss my rosie, who i lost in July. Then I continued to read and saw that you too, lost your emmy. It was a rough time and my heart goes out to you. I hope Rosie and Emmy and playing together in doggie-heaven! Best wishes to you!
If you haven't gotten another Corgi yet, have you checked into
Rescue? Even breeders may have a dog available that they are
no longer using for stud or breeding. Both my boys came from rescue and I couldn't be happier. Just google corgi rescue/nh and
a list will come up. Good luck.
Losing one of our beloved pets is always so hard! I believe that the next corgi is out there somewhere, waiting to be brought to you. :)
I am in the mountains of Southern NM, but was born in Exeter, NH. Since I've been a Westerner almost since birth, I have no idea where Nottingham is in relation to Exeter ...
I'm very sorry about your Emmy. We lost our Tedi Bear 12/29/08 he was 12 years old. It broke our hearts. I knew in about 2 weeks that I could never replace him but our hearts were so empty. Then we found Samantha @ Wendtworthcorgis.com and are into count down time 23 days and she will come to her forever home. I hope you find the corgi that I know is out there waiting for you.
I'm sorry about Emmy. We lost our 17 year old kitty a couple of years ago, and I never thought I'd take another pet in. A couple years later, and we have another cat and a baby corgi. It still hurts, but the new additions have lifted our spirits.
Hi George, sorry for your loss. We too lost our corgi, Lexi to lymphosarcoma. She was only 4. We now have Jack our 2nd and he is a spunky lil guy! Corgis are the best dogs in the world!
