Nipping

Posted on May 7, 2009 at 9:08am 4 Comments

Something to keep in mind. Corgi's are herders. They are hard wired to control large animals including humans.
Their means of control is nipping and biting. To them they are just doing their jobs. This needs to be watched
closely, especially around children, and no one wants to invite a lawsuit. They are often surrendered for this very
behavior. I know first hand. I have one. With diligence, it can be controlled.

Thank you for your concern. I know that Purina Pedigree is not heathly for retrievers. I have a golden so I have stayed away from that brand. I also know about which ingredients to avoid. I normally buy the Eukanuba Naturally wild Deer and potato formula. That has worked great in the past. I was just wondering if there was a certain food to feed working dogs. It is nerve racking finding a good food since my Husky gets food allergies easily. I just can't go and buy a food and try it. I have had a hard time finding recommendations because of the fact that many so called experts recommend bad food. I responded to the comment to just humor the person. I guess I shouldn't do that. I experimented once and my Husky broke out with something fierce. He had to go to the vet for some ointment. I'm glad that there are people like you out there to help out the common person. Your concern is very much appreciated. My babies certainly thank you.
