- I came across this group while looking up info about my Corgi on the internet. Since I am crazy about my Corgi and about the breed, I decided to join.

- Jack is his name (short and sweet, just like him). We decided to get a dog for my sons 10th birthday (every little boy should have a dog to grow up with) we were not looking for a certain breed, just a nice dog that needed a good home. We were told about a place that had pups so we went to check it out. When I got there I was led to a porch that was filled with several crates that held approx 3-4 Corgis in each one. They were all ages, none of them trained or had much human contact, they were wild and barking and jumping all over. I had seen enough to know I wanted to pass on this opportunity, but I noticed my son petting a 6mo. old pup and they both had the happiest smile as they looked at each other. He came home with us that day. When we brought him home and let him out in the yard , we realized he had never been outside before. When he was fed it was obvious he had to fight for his food because he would run off to a corner and gobble it down (all the bite marks on his face were also signs). With time , love and positive reinforcement he got over the quirks, was potty trained and learned how to go up and down steps quite quickly. Our family adores him and he adores us. He has many friends (other dogs, people at the bank, at my sons school, the nursing home etc...) And most of all Jack and my son still (and always will) smile at each other!

Kind of a funny story.. I work as a flight attendant and travel all over the world. When I am gone my son and Jack Dog stay with grandma. We all skype daily and I get to talk to Jack. He tilts his head and stares at the screen like "hey.. how did you get in there??" Anyway, I have been in Japan for the last 2 1/2 wks. I walk daily and always go buy a dog park. There was an elderly couple with a darling (fat) Corgi. I gestured to them if I could pet their dog and they nodded. As I loved up…

Hello, It has been over 2 yrs since I was here last. So here is a brief update. Of course I still adore our crazy Corgi! I finally put a couple pics up and will work on more. Jack dog is doing great and now has a new friend... Her name is Kaidyn a little Dachshund (a 1yr old dog my mom recently adopted). They are great pals and have to see each other everyday or they pout. Hope everyone is doing well!!
Hi everyone. I just joined, this looks quite fun. I have a Male Pem Corgi and he is a great pal to our whole family.
