I have to find Simon a new home. :-(

My fiance is allergic to my lovable corgi, Simon. He's having bad asthma attacks when he comes over. I feel so bad because I'm not Simon's first home. I took him from a lady at work who was going through a divorce a year ago. Simon (whose name at the time was Clyde) was separated from his sister Bonnie.

I'm heartbroken that he might be leaving my home soon. My cocker spaniel Sophie is going to miss him as well. He really does love being outdoors, and I live in the city. I've…

Edward and Gem think a Corgi would be a good choice!! They play with my Aunts Cocker Spaniels as if they were meant for just that!!! Good Luck with your decision!! I can't imagine life w/out my Corgi's, but they really do take up quite a bit of time at first to train etc. they are so smart that it is much easier though the second time around, it is sooo worth it!!!!

One other thing, I see you asked if corgis are good as inside dogs, Absoloutely!!!
They love to be near their family and much rather prefer it. They also can be bossy at times, so I do recommend taking training classes as it will help.

Hello and Welcome!! I just saw your question in chat about corgis being good with other dogs. My first question would be, is your cocker spanel socailized around other dogs and good around them? Corgis are good with other dogs I would say too, just like any other dog you need to socialize with other dogs too. How old is your cocker spainel? Are you getting your corgi from a breeder, make sure to do your research on breeders. Beware of stores selling corgis as they most likely come from puppy mills who dont socialize their dogs and can have lots of health problems. When and if you do decide to get a corgi make sure that you talk to the breeder about your cocker spaniel and hopefully the breeder can help you choose the best personality to fit with your other dog. Good Luck!
