Tiggers Big Day!

Posted on July 31, 2009 at 11:01pm 4 Comments

So today was Tiggers big day, he went for surgery =[. Just a routine neutering but STILL with all of Tiggers other health issues I was tremendously WORRIED!. he came out alright though. he's very sleepy. =[

any tips on how to keep him inactive for 10 days X.X lol.

ps. he's 17.7 lbs!!!!!!! ^_^

Tigger the man killer

tigger is OBESSED with people. ANYONE new he MUST meet. it's kindof cute but i just wish he was that enthusiastic about meeting other dogs. at puppy class he sniffs aroufn for about 20 mins and then lays down in the middle of the floor....lol. kindof embarassing.

on another note we MIGHT be adopting Tiggers mom. =] I'm exciting but we're still waiting to hear back. I think it will be good for him to grow up with another dog given hes so shy around his own kind...maybe its because he… Continue

still growing...

Tigger grew out of his first collar today (05-02-09) =[. I'm happy but sad, who said h could grow up so fast.

Everywhere we go people say he's the cutest puppy they've ever seen =].

Puppy socialization is going better. Tiggers pretty lazy though. once he's done checking all the other dogs out he just lays down. he's quite the character,

his ears arn't exactly UP yet but i think they're getting there. *crosses fingers*

Getting too big too fast?

I don't know if it's just me but I feel slightly Torn about Tig growing up so fast =[. He used to fit in my hands just TWO weeks ago, now he's like a bulldozer.

Part of me wants him to get bigger quickly so we can do all the fun things bigger puppies get to do.

Such as Swimming, long walks, agility training, sleeping late on weekends, playing fetch etc.

But the other part of me wants him to stay soft and squishy forever (minus the potty accidents lol). *sigh* just… Continue

socialization

So we took Tigger to his first socialization class. He. HATED it. he was terrified of the other dogs. He kept hiding behind my legs and trying to get onto my lap. I felt like a horrible person putting him through that but everyone there says that in a couple of weeks he'll get better and actualy play with the other dogs so at this point we're going to go back. Hopefully it will be better. Any one else had a simliar experience with your puppy?

other then that he's doing well. Potty… Continue

By verbally saying "play outside!" (excited) or "potty." (firm, serious) several times before walking out the door, and also while out on the grass. He'll learn to differentiate your verbal cues and voice tones very quickly. Also we bring a squeaky ball during "play outside", even if he doesn't want to fetch, just as a reminder that we DON'T bring the ball during "potty". If it's "potty" but all he's doing is eating grass and running around, we immediately bring him in until he's ready to really potty. At first he peed everywhere, but after only 2 days he's picked out 2 favorite grass spots. But I must say, this is my fourth puppy, and he is the most unpredictable I've ever raised so far.

Tigger is so handsome! I hope he is doing better and rice usually helps. I used to feed my puppies Blue and it was great. Keep posting photos! Happy Easter!
