Destructive Puppy. What do I do?

So I came home from work today and Leia had chewed through the wallpaper and drywall, right down to the stud, in my kitchen. It took everything I had in me not to scream! I don't know what to do. We keep her locked in the kitchen but there is a doggy door so she can go outside when she needs too. I don't want to crate her because no one is home for 8+ hours 4 days a week. She has plenty of toys and a decent sized backyard to keep her busy. She even has another dog to play with. I take her on a… Continue
San Francisco Trip

So I have a trip to San Francisco planned for August and the thought of leaving my new girl Leia is killing me already! I would LOVE to take her but I'm not sure for one if its a great idea and for two if its fair to our other dog who is just too large to take. We will only be gone 4 1/2 days but that seems like enough time to throw off any of the training we are working on. Maybe taking her would mess that up too? I don't know. I keep going back and forth on the idea.

I'm glad to know of MyCorgi owners in the Las Vegas area! :-) Leia is a beautiful corgi - I love her markings. I fostered a male pembroke a few months back who had the exact same markings as your Leia! I miss him so much...

I know the travel is going to be a traumatic experience for her so I want to make her as comfortable as possible when she gets here. We also have a very rambunctious shepherd mix dog who will be VERY eager to meet her and I'm afraid he might scare her a bit. Any suggestions on how to make the introduction and her first night a little less scary?
