Okay, so since I'm in an apartment at the moment, I'm using puppy pads to potty train. I have a couple around the house where she can get to them. She is only a couple days over six weeks old though,…Continue

"Wow I never knew this. It's nice to know there's a difference between EIC and actual Disc issues. "

"That would scare the bedoodles out of me...and I'd be at the vet before I could figure out how to spell "bedoodles.""

"I would get a vet to check her over ASAP.  Corgis can suffer from arthritis at any age, so check that it isn't the first sign of this.  Mine had it in his front from less than 2yrs old, it has now spread to his rear legs and he…"

"Sounds like EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse). This is genetic and most commonly found in labs. However, Pems do also carry this gene. Essentially it's a condition that when excited and/or exercised too much can result in temporary paralysis. It…"

Problem with hind legs?

Hey guys, This actually just happened not too long ago, and I've tried to find something on the internet to help but haven't seemed to get anything. So, my corgi is like most corgis and gets excited about loud noises, as well as many other things. In this case, it was bubble wrap stuff. I was popping out all the bubbles really fast so that I could throw it away and my corgi (as expected) got excited and started jumping at it. Now this is normal behavior for her, so I just told her no and kept…See More

Our first couple days with the new little girl.

Posted on April 2, 2012 at 1:51pm 5 Comments

Well we finally got our little girl. Made a few hour trip out to get her, and she was wonderful the whole way home. Met her mom and dad and they were healthy, wonderful dogs. The mom was such a sweetie and wanted to be pet by everyone! When we first brought the puppy home, our cat and other dog were very interested in her. We introduced them slowly and let her get situated to her surroundings first. When all the animals met, they got along great. The puppy (who we have decided to name Mila)…

Getting my girl soon!

Posted on March 29, 2012 at 5:13pm 7 Comments

My husband and I are taking a three hour trip out to Yakima, WA on Saturday to pick up our little tri-colored Pembroke girl! Couldn't be any more excited. :) Just hoping that I have everything in place for her. We already have a crate, bowls, puppy pads, a bed, toys, and a gate! Very excited to finally meet her and become a Corgi owner! :D
