Choking Sound by Corgi

Started this discussion. Last reply by Sam Tsang Jun 21, 2011. 7 Replies

We have a nine year old Corgi and he acts as if he's trying to cough up a hair ball several times a day.  Does anyone have any knowledge in this area?

Roitisserie Chicken

Posted on January 1, 2012 at 8:22pm 5 Comments

Does anyone know if boiled or roitisserie chicken is a bad idea for a Corgi?  Our boy loves turkey and chicken but I don't know if there's anything wrong with giving him a little in moderation.  He is on a special food to balance out his PH level in his urine.  The food is so bland that I feel the need to sneak him a little taste of something tasty.  Your thoughts?

Knots on Corgi?

Posted on May 15, 2011 at 11:33am 5 Comments

Hello!  Our corgi came to live with us nine days ago and he's a senior of nine.  He just completed heart worm treatment and was on bed rest for some time.  Upon reading his medical file, I noticed that a couple of weeks ago he had a large mass removed from his left side.  The area was closed with staples.  I noticed today that he has a large knot about the size of a golf ball on the same side.  He recently completed heart worm treatment and has had some residual side effects such as wheezing. … Continue

Bert is surely a handsome fellow. Is he a fluff? It looks like his has a lot of hair.

Yes, Cooper is so relaxed, but he can get excited too. His butt wiggles a mile a minute in the mornings when I wake up! I agree that Corgi's are always unique and they always have a winning personality. They are such wonderful dogs! Bert is such a handsome boy! I think Cooper will grow up to be somewhat like him, pretty laid back, and I think that's great! =) My Cooper LOVES taking rides too! He tries to fit as much of himself out the window as he can, haha!

It sounds like you are taking wonderful care of Bert.  Let me know what the vet says about the lump you found on him.  I can't believe as many times as I had my hands on him that I didn't find it.

I HATE ticks.  Last year was awful!  I found sooo many ticks on Maxx, the kids and me.  It also seemed that everytime my husband mowed the lawn, he had one on him too.

I found this lawn spray (Bayer Advanced - Complete Insect Killer) at Home Depot that is supposed to help cut back on the ticks and fleas in the yard.  You just attach it to the garden hose and spray the yard.  It did seem to help last year and I'm going to use it again year.  So far, I've only found 1 tick.

Bert is a real sweet heart.  I'm so glad you found him!  I think about him all the time, but I never worry about him.

I'm always watching for Corgi's in need of rescue.  I already let them know that if the loose Corgi needs a temporary home, I'll take him  :)

You've got to post a picture of Bert in your Cooper.  When I saw him in his seat yesterday, I wished I had my camera!

We've had Boo since a puppy.  Sally is our rescue and we've had her since Dec. 09.  She just turned 4 in April and Boo will be 10 in October.

Welcome Susan and Bert. Now that I think of it I can see a Corgi owner driving a mini cooper. Seem to be a good fit.
