I'm 24 years old and I was born and raised in the small town of Hilo, Hawaii. I moved to San Diego when I was 17 to obtain my degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of CA - SD. Although I often miss the islands, I felt at home in the California sunshine almost instantly. Along with art, design and the general breed of Corgis, I love playing music, dancing, cheerleading, running, traveling, my family, friends, Garett and life itself.
Miley is my soon to be Pembroke pup. We get her in a week, at which point she'll be 8 weeks old! She's the runt of her litter, so she's a bit tiny but we feel she's got quite an intelligent personality and can't wait to watch her grow up!!

Usually, Rabies is the last but I'm not sure when the parvo occurs. Even if they have had their vaccines, it takes 2 to 5 weeks for the immunity to develop since they are so young. I would definately limit where you take her to a close small area but ask your vet if she has had parvo yet or check you records. Usually vet, recommended keeping them away from other dogs until they are about 4 months old. better to be safe than sorry. Parvo is more of a warm weather disease so hopefully is not occurring much right now. Best wishes with that precious baby.
Mahalo for the comment and your new puppy is really precious. I wish our Wini could find a Ku'uipo that she is not related to (reminds me of Moloka'i, ha,ha) because I miss having a puppy around. Alrighty then, Malama Pono
Wow, we are even closer neighbors that I thought! Welcome! Definitely ask the vet about being able to go on Sunday. Sometimes when the pup isn't ready to play yet, people will still come and just hold their puppy in their arms and not let them on the ground with the older dogs. How is Miley doing? Did you get her locally? What color is she? Can't wait to meet you guys! Oh, and the photos with Santa at this Carlsbad event are really nice looking...professional...and the money goes to rescue groups. It's best to make an appointment because time slots do fill up!
Hello and Welcome!! Nice chatting tonight, looking forward to pics and videos of Miley when you bring her home and as she grows. If you are still looking for a book on corgis, they have them in the rescue store on this site!

Welcome Tani and MIley! Do you know about the San Diego COrgi meetup group? Look us up! I live in VIsta, we are practically neighbors. We meet often on Fridays, so if you have those free, you could bring Miley over to play. We'll be at the Pup Parade in Carlsbad next Sunday if you want to come meet the corgis.
