Hunter and Layla graduated from Puppy Kindergarten last night!!! =) They had to pass a final, involving everything we've learned over the last 8 weeks of classes, and they both did really well! "Leave it" was the only thing that gave them a little trouble. But admittedly, seeing a treat and not eating it is asking a lot! Hey everyone! This is Layla the puppy and I just have to tell you about the exciting adventure Hunter and I got to go on yesterday! Mommy and Daddy put us in the car. It was the first time we went in the car without the crate. We sat in the backseat with Mommy holding us to make sure we didn't go flying around. So Hunter and Layla's big brother, Jagger, has heard all about the mycorgi community and wanted to say hi even though he isn't a corgi - or a dog at all! Jagger has been amazing with the puppies. He plays with them gently, has never swiped, hissed, or even arched his back at them, and will even sit at the border of their play area and gently push them back in when they try to escape! Hunter and Layla are nine weeks old tomorrow! Layla's left ear has been slowly standing up and the right one popped up yesterday, and Hunter's don't seem to be far behind, so they look more like corgis now. =) Here are some pictures!

Layla and Hunter were 8 weeks yesterday! We celebrated by taking them to the vet. They got to meet lots of friendly people and another (much bigger!) dog in the waiting area. When it came time to move into the room Layla came along fine but Hunter stopped at the door and pulled on his leash. He did not want anything to do with that room! We are back from our Easter trip and all settled in! Hunter and Layla (we finally named them!) did SOOO well at my parents' house! They were wonderful about going potty when we took them outside or on the potty pads. Only one or two accidents. And no accidents in the crate during the car rides. Unfortunately this morning they seem to have forgotten how to use the potty pads...but I know it's just going to take some time and work! They're already shaping up to be smart, sweet puppies. Well in twenty four hours we will be just about to pick up our new puppies. Last night we bought all the necessary accoutrements, although I am sure we will think of plenty more things soon enough! After we pick them up we'll be heading straight to my parents' house for Easter. I feel kind of bad that our babies' first day with us will be spent on a four hour car ride, but unfortunately this was the best weekend for us to pick them up, as they are in another state.
