The pups are 6 weeks now and really lovely! We saw them today after 14 days and I have to say, they grow like crazy. I have to decide between two boys, they are both very active, one seems a bit calmer, but the other one is just sweet and was following our feet and everything - you know. I CAN'T decide! The breeder offered me to take the pup next week, but I think I'll wait until he's 8 weeks old. That's two weeks to decide. I'm completely lost...

Yes, I did forget to mention that the breeder let puppies go between 10-12 weeks. Charlie was also 10 1/2 weeks when I brought him home.

Makes you want to take them both, huh? LOL I actually had a choice of 6 pups. After I ruled out the two most hyperactive, and the two least active, I was down to Charlie and his brother...the "medium" active pups. Talk about "Eeney, meenie, minie, moe!". Like Sylvia suggested, try to pick the personality that fits you the best. If they seem fairly equal in personality and temperament, then go with looks. I would have been happy with Charlie or his brother, but picked Charlie because I liked the sable tips on his ears. I did take an hour deciding, so don't feel rushed while you're choosing the one for you. I bet you can't wait!!! : - )

If you have the opportunity, wait until the pups are 10 weeks to decide. Most reputable breeders will not let pups go until they are 10-11 weeks old here in the US.

A major part of your decision should be that your lifesyle and the temperment of the dog match. If you're very active and athletic, you'll want a dog to match. Same if you're more of a relaxed individual who just enjoys walking and hiking with your dog. Also, if the breeder is experienced, they will help you make a choice. Very often here in the US, a breeder will decide which pup is best. Interact with all the pups as much as you can and I think your decision will be much easier. I know mine was after about 3 hours of puppy breath and teeth!!! Good luck and can't wait to see and hear of your choice. Fun days ahead.
