The Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of Southern California(pwccsc.org) is in need of people in various areas of So Cal to assist with:
Identify/verify breed to be rescued
Bail & transport of rescued from animal control/shelter/owner to foster care provider
Foster care provider
Home inspection of potential adopter

If you would like to help the rescue in any way, please contact corgirescue@cox.net.

CJ met with an adoption prospect from Coronado on 5/31/08. She is scheduled to start her 15-day trial in their home 6/7/08 with her new furr-brother Jakey. Wish her luck!

The following is an excerpt from the most recent Rescue Activity Bulletin. If you would like to help any of these furr-kids, please fill out an adoption interest application at pwccsc.org &/or contact corgirescue@cox.net.

I am offering to assist with socializing Roscoe to whomever adopts him. He has been on our "waiting for a home" board for a very long time due to his age.

CJ update: The new owner's are so antsy to have her home with them that they've asked if I can meet them this evening (6/2/08) to make the transfer instead of waiting until Saturday. I take this as a good omen for a bright furry future.

Ya know, the pups get adopted within a week. It's the older ones I feel bad for. Roscoe's been waiting for a home for a long time now. Everyone wants to puppies, no one wants to help out the older furrballs. I've met Foxy. She's a sweety, but I don't know of anyone who wants a 9 yr old.
I guess I keep wondering, "What if something happened to me? Who would care for my monkeys?" They're good kids, just older than what the average adopter wants.
