Lady was found wandering as a stray in Ramona, CA about a year ago. A family took her in, cared for her, and searched for her owner to no avail. About 6 months ago, she injured her eye on a cactus plant and ended up losing it. She has adjusted well and now exits the doggy door at 97 mph instead of 100 mph. The vet places her age at between 2 and 3 years old.
She is very people-friendly, and behaves well with a 19-mo old grandchild. There have been no issues with the 7 other dogs at the residence, but she does tend to be a bit bossy with the smaller dogs.
The caregivers are moving in July and need to find Lady a permanent loving home before then.
As always, applications are available at pwccsc.org. Be sure to mention Lady in the comments section.

Update:
The folks who found Lady last year have also found her a new home close by. The rescue wishes her well.

CJ moved to her permanent home this evening (6/2/08). She will be living with a wonderful family on Coronado Island just steps from a dog park on the beach. Her furr-brother Jake has promised to show her all the best places to sniff and frap. I'm hoping to see some family pics soon.

I really don't understand how someone could lose their dog. Maybe it's me...but I would drop everything to find ANY pup in my family (sister has 1 in LA and my mom has 4 in another country). Pups are family. You don't give up on them. I hope she and CJ find a really good home soon. =)

I know we have placed a few dogs that are visually impaired and seems to make little difference in their life. She looks like a lovely girl. I hope someone opens their heart and home to this great gal!
