Lady was found wandering as a stray in Ramona, CA about a year ago. A family took her in, cared for her, and searched for her owner to no avail. About 6 months ago, she injured her eye on a cactus plant and ended up losing it. She has adjusted well and now exits the doggy door at 97 mph instead of 100 mph. The vet places her age at between 2 and 3 years old.
She is very people-friendly, and behaves well with a 19-mo old grandchild. There have been no issues with the 7 other dogs at the residence, but she does tend to be a bit bossy with the smaller dogs.
The caregivers are moving in July and need to find Lady a permanent loving home before then.
As always, applications are available at pwccsc.org. Be sure to mention Lady in the comments section.
Update:
The folks who found Lady last year have also found her a new home close by. The rescue wishes her well.
