Up at Fred Meyer the other day I found Furminators on sale. It was only 5 dollars off, but I couldn't leave without one. I was amazed by it when I got home brushing both Leon and Simon. Expected it, but it still hella surprised me all the same. My mom has a ShedEnder, I've seen it at work as well as used it myself. I think that's what caused the shock. The Furminator worked so much better! Not to mention that it comes in more than one size, so if you have a animal bigger than a cat, you don't have to make twice the effort trying to get fur off, and the rake form makes it so you don't have to worry about what side your hand is on. :) I took it up to my mom's house today, she used it on the Todd and I think she's going to buy one herself. I reccommended she get a large, I have the medium, but she was thinking the size might make it counter-productive. I dunno.

So I left my Furminator up there for her to use. Hopefully she can get some good use out of it while she has it. :)

I have been a little worried though, I wonder if I'm breaking off or damaging leons fur, his is really coarse. I wish I knew if there was anything I could give him to make it a little softer.

I don't believe you are damaging Leon's hair. You're just feeling the overcoat, which is coarser than the undercoat. Trunks's coat felt much rougher after I used the furminator for the first time. I believe flax seed oil will help make coats softer. You could try giving him that.

You get can the Furminator shampoo and conditioner. It really helps with the coat and helps keep down the shedding :)
