It has been a busy weekend for Owen! On Friday night we had friend and family over for a housewarming/puppy shower. Owen was amused by people and children alike. I was so afraid of people feeding him food but we kept a close eye on him between Matt, me and my parents. He got to play with kids and have a great time! He was out for the count by the end of the night and we didn't hear boo from him until 9am the next day. I love it when he sleeps for that long! I also love it when he gets socialized like that.. it really does make him a nicer puppy :)

Saturday we went to go visit Levi who is a big puppy. On the way we went to petsmart to pick up a toy for Levi. He had a great time there too.. I'm just so happy he isn't agressive towards other dogs.. He is very curious and always wants to play. He did great with levi and they played puppy games. Hilarious to watch him interact with a dog that is probably 8x his size. They were sweet with eachother and eventually were sharing water and laying by each other. Made my day.

We are borrowing a kiddie pool (for the party) and Owen is learning to swim. He doesn't hate it but he is still pretty weary of it. He is also learning to do the stairs. They are pretty narrow but we put treats and kibble and see if he will do it.. Not so much yet, but it is scary. Any tips for stairs?

He hasn't really been sleeping well at night because it has been really hot and really muggy. Saturday night we had a thunderstorm. Owen was not happy and barked for about 30 min.. We even had to bring him in to bed to calm him down (kennel trained). Well I think he is enjoying mommy and daddy time in the bed and last night he barked it up alot- no thunder. Back to pushing that kennel training. I think we will put him in the laundry room again now that it has cooled down. He has been our room because it is generally the coolest.

Well I guess we are going to get more thunder and lightening.. I really hope I get to sleep tonight!
