I accidently left Didi in the crate for 10 hours yesterday.
When she is in the crate she never makes a sound because it never gets her anywhere. I had to go pick up my parents from the cruise terminal early in the morning so we went out, had breakfast, went out again and she went right into the crate. Ran to the cruise terminal, picked up the family, came home, unloaded luggage, fed ourselves, more family came over, stories and tasting things and gift giving. We left at 7am. Somewhere around 4-5pm my mom went "Where's Didi" and I go "OMG!"
I'd been rushing in and out of my room several times and she was so quiet I never even thought of her! D: She had to pee and was very thirsty, but after that she was so occupied with greeting everyone she hadn't seen in a week that she probably completely forgot about her 10 hour imprisonment.
My poor little corgi.

A snow storm caused a 24 hour lock up for my GSD Grunt. He wasn't in a crate but was still 24 hours in the house. The wonder boy didn't have an accident.

This has unfortunatly happened at our house too. We had a mix up about who was coming home for lunch to let Grover out (on days we have to work late, one of us takes a long lunch). He was crated 9 hours, I felt HORRIBLE when I called my husband and we realized what we'd done!
Poor honeys! Its a wonder they put up with us!
