Trice is finally home with us! If you don’t know, we purchased Trice from the breeder in August but because we were in the process of moving to a condo this past weekend, we decided to just officially bring him home when we move. We did take him home for one weekend in August though (shh don’t tell our apartment complex – dogs not allowed)! So, the month-long wait since then was worth it. His ears even perked up while he was away (I wish we were there to witness it ourselves). We missed him so much and were concerned that he might not adjust to our place but he was fine. He’s had a couple accidents but for the most part he’s pretty potty-trained. His breeder trained him well. He has some getting used to on the leash, he barks when outside (there’s a doggie kennel next door), jumps up on our visitors (especially kids), mouths and chews on everything and not quite sure how he’ll take to strange dogs. We are hoping to be very hands-on corgi parents so with consistent training, he’ll be fine (::crossing fingers::).

He did sleep well in his crate and he’s very affectionate with us. We had him play off leash at a fenced in grassy area near our condo and he had a grand ol’ time, as displayed by his corgi “smile”. One funny, noteworthy thing Trice did worth mentioning: I had my graduation dog (my guests signed well wishes on the dog for the completion of grad school) tucked under my arm, showed it to Trice and he started barking at it. A LOT. I’m sure he thought it was real because he didn’t stop barking until I put it away. LOL.

Trice has brought and will continue to bring joy into our lives. We have no kids (for now) so we consider Trice our first born. =)
