Yesterday we went to the dog park and Owen had a good day. We gave him a bath (even though we was wet from the creek) and found 3 or 4 flees that abandoned ship with the water. Yar.. we have been flee free so far and I'm really sure when it hapened but I was good and told my mom just in case Rusty the cat has them (very very allergic). So on our way up to the mountains today we stopped by the vet to pick up some de-flee medication (I honestly didn't care what kind). It was very slow so I brought him in and they weighed him. I was wondering why I felt like Owen weighed a ton.. he does! 18.5 lbs. I'm pretty sure that early September he weighed about 11 or 12 lbs. He's looking healthy though with a nice waist.
We had a great time on the hike but we probably should have had bear spray. I was a little nervous because it was such an unused trail that overlooks Crystal Moutain Ski Area. Really cool but definetly felt we weren't alone. We turned around early because it got more and more densely wooded. Matt and I learned that Owen LOVES horse poop. So disgusting. Nothing like gingerly taking that from his mouth. I thought the decomposing mouse was bad. Horse poop is way worse! But if horse poop is good to Owen, horses are very not good. He has just never seen them and when they came down the trail he was a little tense. I was too because one of the guys was carrying a rifle and I started to wonder.. hmmm.. are there bears or cougars close by? Owen and I slept all the way home!
Now he home, asleep with his dolphin toy next to me. I am kinda sad.. he has lost most of his baby teeth, well I think (do they lose the back ones?). He is almost full grown..... still sleeps like a puppy though :)
