Ein and Phoenix have still been fighting like crazy.

Two weeks ago we had dog behavior people come out to the house and evaluate our situation. Then last week we went to their facility where they stayed while I went to work. They were confused because of several reasons:

1. Ein is a boy and Phoenix is a girl.
2. They are both fixed.
3. They get along in the yard and in the car.
4. They get along on walks as long as they never face each other.
5. They get along great with other dogs...no signs of aggression.
6. Neither one is food or toy protective.
7. Apparently our house is possessed.

The ladies told me to try to reward the good behavior i.e. not fighting and ignore the bad behavior. They said to do this by walking away. They told me lots of other stuff too but I'm so tired, I'll try anything to get them to not hate each other.

On Saturday, we were playing some fetch and came indoors. OH NO we must have a fight in between the couch and the coffee table because we're inside RARHRHRHHRHHPHHHRHRHRHHTHTH GRRRRHAHRHRH.

So I just walk off and go to my bedroom. They immediately stop, come into the bedroom and nose at my back to get my attention (standing side by side, mind you).

Sooo I'm figuring this nosing must mean "uhh...hey aren't you gonna get all mad and super focused on us and honk the sports horn and try like mad to get two angry 30 pound corgis apart???"

I know it's bad luck to type this but they haven't had once single fight since.

We went to work yesterday. Everything is slowly getting back to normal. wOOt!!!

WoW! Hearing your story... i think Im going to try that method.
Faye is my new puppy. And SHE is definitely the new "Stitch"!!! She is SUPER hyper and terrorizes everything!!

Her and Bonni doesn't exactly fight... but there is a whole lot of GRRRRRRRGGHHHHHHs, again and again...
And when its not the GGGRRRRRHHHHHsss... its the wrestle with alot of grrrrrrrrrggghhhhs until Mom says stop.

Im going to try ignoring them.
Starting... now.

Hi,
I know only too well when your pets misbehave. My Ritz (male Pembroke Corgi) was a little terror on 4 legs! At the age of 10 months, I decided to sign up for an obedience training programme. One of the things I learnt was that some pets misbehave to get your attention. You did good when you left them to go to your room.
