SO. Guess where I went today? That's right, my breeder's! She lives a FANTASTIC ten whole minutes from my house. My mom came with me (for better or for worse) and we walked in and Mr and Mrs. New were very nice. I was greeted by Nessie, the single puppy I have pictures of on here. She shied away from me at first, but she took a liking to me nearly immediately. They were impressed. :0 They brought in the puppies (now six months) one by one, and I liked two boys, Mick and Blaine, the most. Mick was excited to see me and my mom and came over to me first, before sniffing around anywhere else. He got up and tried to lick my face and shoved his nose in my ear, lol. Blaine is a beautiful dog who is soft and has a wonderful full white collar, and a big thick white stripe on his head. He was a laid back potato, but happily cuddled up next to me. (I should mention that Mick did that, too, once he settled down.) Blaine is apparently a very active dog outside, but a laid back bloke inside. Hmm. I don't know! I don't have to pick now, though. I'm going back sometime later this week to play with both of them some more. :D Yay. They'll be almost a year old when I can get one. So I'll get a baby puppy when I graduate maybe. I should practice with an older dog first. :>

sounds wonderful! We've always brought home older pups (or young dogs). Sidney was 6 months old when we brought him home, and he's been wonderful!

Very exciting! A young adult might be easier in your situation anyway. The baby puppies are cute and cuddly, but they are also naughty and hyper. The cute stage is over so fast anyway, and there are some days you think to yourself "why did I do this again?" And I agree, the illustration gave me warm fuzzies. You are so talented!
