I've been thinking about some of my favorite things about Pixel - the things he does that I love so much. These include: 1) Corgi laps - Pixel loves to run and sometimes in the evening will start running around the living room in wide circles as fast as he can. He just goes and goes. He will do corgi laps in the backyard, too, running around so fast and so happily. Dax (like a good newf) stands in the middle of the circle and barks. 2) Grass and rug rolling. Pixel loves to scratch his back on the grass and stretch out as long as he can, rub his back and the back of his head on the ground, while making a happy kind of groaning sound. It's lovely to see him enjoying himself so much. 3) Athleticism. Pixel, like most corgis, is incredibly athletic. He has no trouble jumping from the floor to the back of the couch, or into my Jeep or the kayak

or up into my arms. He exits my Jeep by standing on my seat and jumping into my arms (on the "ok" command). From them I put him on the ground. I love how easy it is for him to do all these athletic things. 4) Walks. Sometimes I wake up at night with "restless leg" and take the dogs out for a walk. It doesn't matter what time it is - they are always so excited to go with me and love sniffing around the fields near my house. They're good company, always come when called, and we love the still, Colorado nights. 5) Vocabulary. Pixel knows the command "speak" and makes a large variety of sounds, from quick yippy barks to a kind of Corgi yodel. I love having him talk to my mom on the phone - it's so cute.
There are many, many things I love about Pixel, but these are some of the ones that come quickest to mind. What things do you especially love about your Corgis?
