Okay so her 6 month pup-aversary is coming up on the 18th but didn't know when I would have time to update so here goes.
Maui is growing! Like any pup of course but its dramatic the spurts she goes through. She's tall one day and long the next. Eat little one day and eat like her legs are hollow the next day! She talks back to me still, and she will obey us for the most part. Gosh she just gets prettier every day! Still harassing her brothers, and enjoying our company when they visit as well as other dogs who visit her and she goes to see.
Potty training is going super. She rings a bell hanging on the door handle to let us know she has to go out, and on occasion will ring it again when she gets bored indoors. I still keep her crated up when we are out of the house, as I don't fully trust her actions, as she still chews things on occasion that she shouldn't. Crating seems to be the best option at this time. She sleeps with us at night now, unless she has been naughty.
All in all she is a happy spoiled corgi as she should be. She weighs over 20 pounds now, I willing to bet today she is at 22 pounds.
One thing to complain about and seeking any kind of help with or advise about.
Her breath is putrid! I asked my breeder and she said its cause she is teething, so i dismissed it and waited to see if it would clear up. Well the distinct teething smell has since passed and now, her breath just ranges from garbage to poo smelling and I have no garbage for her to get into in the backyard and the cat box is gated up. She has the yard to herself and I have no clue what would cause it. She gets NO table scraps and as it is, I am picky about letting her lap up stuff off the kitchen floor. She is way too young to have bad breath in my opinion. All her milk teeth have come out and her new teeth have grown in almost completely.
