Just thought I'd update on what's been happening and how our Murphasaurus has been. He hasn't grown much since he's hit the 8 month mark, but he seems healthy and happy. I have also noticed that he would rather play with his toys and frap around than eat his breakfast or dinner. Sometimes he ends up skipping a meal because I'll take his food away if he doesn't touch it after a half hour. Pretty different from what I hear about most Corgis loving to eat and "never eating enough". He's been a good boy though. He's always trying to please us and if he does something bad then he does everything he can to make it right like he'll sit, lay down and roll over as an apology and kiss us all over our faces. We don't let him sleep in bed with us anymore because he's become quite the bed hog, so right before we turn out the lights I scoop him up while he's asleep and put him in his bed then sometime in the middle of the night he'll sneak over and jump onto our bed and sometimes if he's in the way, we'll have to move him again, but he's so cute. I hate having to move him, but if I don't we'll never sleep.

This Friday, we're going to the Hazleton area to meet up with our mycorgi friends, Stef and Bill and their corgi, Carmen and they're also bringing their other dog Tanner. We're pretty excited. Murphy is going to have a blast playing with them. I will take a bunch of pictures and hopefully video too.

Thanksgiving is coming and it will be his very first. We're going to my mom's so he can play with their dog and their new kitten. Hopefully he plays gently. He just wants to be friends with everyone and I don't think he knows how to be gentle yet. He just gets so excited. It'll be his first Christmas too since he happened to be born the day after. I'll have to make him something special for his first birthday.

Thanks to the both of you for your kind words. :o) Murphy says hello as he's chasing Stella around the couch. I never even gave him being cold at night a thought...although he hogged up the bed in the hot months too. I think he just wants to be where we are. What a stinker.

Oh, Chris, Aly, and Murphy! What an sweet update! Don't worry about the eating -- some Corgis "free eat," meaning if they know no one else is around to "steal" it, they'll just "snack" throughout the day. Since you don't have other Corgis in the house, he knows it's his to eat whenever he pleases -- most dogs are this way, but not all.

Bed hog? Well, that may be because he's cold -- and you may appreciate him warming you up when the snow season hits -- LOL! As long as he finds a place to be still and actually SLEEP and not play, ooooooh, there's nothing like sleeping with a snoring Corgi!

I'm so glad you've met up with some other Corgi parents in your area. I've often wondered how you're doing in that arena. Let us know how it goes. Can't wait to see pics!

Oh all those firsts! I have a corgi that really doesn't care if she eats either! Hope you have fun at all your new adventures!
