I've been down for about 3 days with the flu. The kick your butt 103 fever kind of flu and the best distraction from it all has been watching the reaction of Bear and Goldy.

Having always been intrigued by the stories of dogs sniffing out cancer and sensing seizures, I noticed the following things while I've been sick:

1. The higher my fever got, the closer my corgis got. The best way to describe it is that it seemed like they were trying to pull the fever out of me.

2. There is something different about our skin when we are sick, either that or they use their tongues like my mom used the back of her hand when I was little. I could be in bed with the chills - electric blanket and down duvet and Goldy would come over, lick my forehead once or twice and then curl up closer to me.

3. Bear, the male, seemed much more "concerned" - laying on the bed staring at me, not sleeping much. Goldy, the female, much more "nursy" - checking on me, licking me, sleeping on me.

I've looked around online for information, but I can't find anything.

I haven't had any experience with illness (thankfully) but both Soffie and Griffyn know when I'm emotionally upset. And Soffie especially is very consoling if I've been taken to tears. I definitely believe they are very intuitive!!

Hope you're feeling better real soon!!

Hope you feel better soon, last year I had H1N1 and with that high fever, Lilly litterally laid on top of me as I was shaking with the chills and Brody (who is usually very independent) was right next to me and would only go outside to do his thing and would come right back in and back beside me.
