No puppy yet. Last night, I took Scout to the grocery store with me to pick up a couple things. And sitting outside the store was a dad, his son, and a corgi!
Of course, I turned into crazy corgi lady and got way too excited. He was a little under a year old, hadn't filled out all the way, and ALL EARS! His name is Tank, and they live only a couple of blocks from where I do now! I got Scout out of the car and they got along awesome! Tank wanted to play more than Scout liked, but she didn't even tell him to back off. She flopped on her back for a belly rub from the guy's son, and didn't even curl a lip when Tank got in her face! He's a red / white with a few black hairs on his back. He also has very light eyes for a corgi (kind of a dark caramel color). The wife came out of the store and tried to take a couple phone pictures for me that turned out kinda blurry, but you can tell he's a corgi in them.
This little meeting definitely didn't help with my wanting to get a corgi puppy. Tank was so cute and I loved the little awkward (almost pre-teenish) look of him and it'll be so hard to wait until this fall (By then, work will have calmed down and I can bring back my own version of "take your dog to work day" while puppy is adjusting)
Just wondering, were you more excited about seeing other corgis before or after you got your's? Because this definately made my night and I excitedly reported it to my fiance (who didn't really get it--No OCD for him yet). Before Scout, I was never this excited about seeing a corgi.

I have OCD, but thankfully so does my husband and my parents. My parents crack me up because they will call me whenever they see another corgi. My dad, who isn't shy at all, will go up to the owner and start talking about their grandpuppy, Noodles and sharing all sorts of stories with them. I'm sure those owners think he is crazy, but I think it is adorable. My parents love getting to share stories about Noodles to other corgi owners. Now for my husband and I...well, we get excited whenever we see another corgi. If able to, we will stop and talk to the owners and share stories with one another. I NEVER did this before Noodles arrived.
Totally! We have a few that live in this general area, and we are just as crazy as they are.
Oh ya!! nothing like running into another corgi its a high moment in my life!! One time i was driving and saw one, i stopped turned around and rolled the window down to ask about the dog , the old man walking him probably thought i was an idiot! hahaha , but i dont care :)))
I am always way too excited to see other corgis! Some times I overdo it but most of the time they are just as crazy as I am.
