It's funny watching these poor pets go nuts for this, but I have to wonder if they are actually enjoying it, or just being driven crazy! It almost seems more frantic than playful sometimes. It's still fun for us though.
I know for Franklin this definately wouldn't work. He often goes after the laser pointer itself so he'd have that in his mouth carrying it around the house. It'd need to be hung from the ceiling or something for him to play with just the beam.

Haha! Yeah, I'm afraid nothing will ever excite our pups like the "evil" broom.

Laser toys are great fun but I'd worry about an automated one getting them in the eye ("They" will tell us it's safe; we've heard that before).
I'm waiting for some genius to market a mobile robotic pet toy that's programmed to behave unpredictably enough that the animal won't get bored with it.
But nothing will ever beat a vacuum cleaner.

Interesting, I like the 360 one that @Avyon posted. I love thinkgeek.com

That looks so neat! I'll definitely be looking into it as a Christmas present for Alwyn and the cats.

Ha! That looks hilarious. Not sure how it'd work. I know our babies are too easily distracted to play with it for longer than ten seconds. :)
