Does anyone else with tricolor corgis get this question ALL the time?? I don't know why it ticks me off so much, I have nothing against beagles, it just really annoys me. People think that Orion (red headed tri) is a beagle corgi mix and they have no idea what Laika (black headed tri) is. Especially at the dog park! I guess it annoys me because its not like I go around asking if dapple dachshunds or blue merle shelties are mixed with australian shepherds. I don't own dachshunds or shelties but I know they come in different colors than typically seen. I guess it shouldn't annoy me, I just get tired of answering that same question over and over. I'd feel better if it happened to other people too, haha

I'm planning on going to vet school too! I've been working at a clinic during the summer and I've been working as a foster for the special needs kitties in my animal rescue group for the past 5 years. I plan on going to A&M and they have way more prereqs than most vet schools and its a huge pain in the neck.
Yesterday at the dog park people asked what my chihuahuas were mixed with :/

I've just learned to ask people "oh what a lovely dog you have" or "I just love the color of your dogs coat" or some other nice comment. Even if I have a guess as to what the dog is, these questions leave it open for the owner to say "thanks he/she is a _____".
With Ella being a red/white most people recognize her as a corgi, but will ask about pembroke and cardigan even though she has no tail. Which I think is funny. I guess you just have to laugh it off.
I actually was stopped by a lady and lab on a walk a few weeks ago, because she had lots of questions about corgis (had thought about having one). Just gives me a chance to show Ella off and maybe help someone out.

My friend has a beautiful blue merle cardigan. It never fails, every time we go walking people will ask her what her aussie shepherd is mixed with! Or some will make guesses "is that an aussie daschund mix?" We just can't help but laugh, but I can tell it's extremely frustrating for her.

I have never had any one say beagle corgi mix with my red headed tri but i get people saying basset hound instead. Until i got my red now everyone recognizes they are corgi's but they always say they never knew corgi's came in tri color.

Haha, wow, I've never had anyone argue with me about it but many people respond with "Um.. are you SURE they're full corgi?" My dad thought Laika was a chihuahua when I brought her home

I used to get more questions when I just had one. Honestly my two apparently look so much alike to casual observers that they know they are the same kind of dog, even if they don't know what kind it is. So now we always get "What kind of dogs are those?"

I once embarrassed myself by asking someone if their white Pomeranian was a Pom/American Eskimo mix. I'd only ever seen red ones. Whoopsee, I felt like an idiot.
