More and more I find myself knocking leftover food (potatos I didn't want out of stew, the noodles from ramen, the last bit of mac 'n cheese) into my pup's bowl on top of her food. What a bad furmom I've become. She doesn't seem to be gaining wait though... I imagine it's only a matter of time.
I must resist... those corgi eyes...

My husband calls it the "Corgi Jedi mind trick". You will give me some of your food now. They also use it when strategically placing themselves under your hand or foot b/c they know you'll pet them. LOL

My rule is to only give Gibson things that would normally be ingredients in his dog food or treats. So, basically if im cooking w/veggies or cheese or sometimes meat, hell get some. Its hard to resist, but I figure if I need to treat him, at least i can do it in a healthy way! :)

That Corgi mind trick they play on us. Those eyes those darn pleading eyes. My lizzie got up to 37 pounds! She has lost 8 pounds and I have slowly tried to reform myself. ...must be strong...just say no...I still break down once in a while, but have really tried hard...We never used to have leftovers and now we do. All the Corgis are on a restricted diet...kibble and green beans. They still think I'm starving them, but they look great. But those eyes...

Add me to the list of giving Jillie some leftovers or a taste of what we are eating! Your right Sarah, it is the corgi eyes watching you...... I give in for just a little treat. And Jillie makes this slight, adorable sound like thank you Mommy!!!! LOL

I'll admit it, I tend to do this too. Bits of stuff out of salad, stew, and other things that I don't want "accidentally fall" into their mouths.

My dogs are still healthy. I do try to hold back though.
