Bentley is having his behavior evaluation

So tomorrow Bentley is having a behaviior evaluation with Katie from Courteous Canine in Lutz, FL. I am so excited but nervous at the same time. If you all dont know I rescued Bentley from Animal Services about 2 1/2 months ago. Heartworm postive, tapworm, upper respiratory infection, fungal skin infection. His health is getting better & better everyday & acting like a corgi more & more evryday. Bentley hates the out cat. He all out wants to rip him apart its very scary. He does well with my beagle mix but has shown aggression towards other dogs. I know Katie will help me out so wonderfully with Bentley tomorrow & recommend a training class for Bentley & I to take part of. Keep your fingers & paws crossed for us tommorrow that all goes well. I will update you on how he did. Oh and by the way this is all new to me putting a dog in any type of classes so I guess I'm nervous for myself as well for Bentley.

Wonderful! Glad everything went so well. Sounds like this Katie person is "just the ticket" to quote an old old friend of ours (and I mean old in both ways! know for a long long time and 94 yrs)

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement. Bentley did well, Katie thinks we should go into a 6 week class called control unleased for the reactive dog. I am looking foward to doing the class, although the class his held outside so we are going to wait until after the summer(the florida heat is awful). Bentley never showed any signes of aggression towards Basil,Bernie & an Australian Shepard she had someone she knew bring in, but got some awesome tips & games to do with Bentley so when he does show some aggression I know how to bring him back to me. So all & all it was a good day. Bentley is wiped out & sleeping so until next time......

Give it a couple tries and then you may be surprised when you start getting excited to go to class. It is amazing feeling watching then transform before your eyes each class.

You two will do fine. Just you going to class with your pup is an amazing first step! :) Once you get into the swing of things you feel right at home when you go to class hehe

Christen, Katie is a great gal! So don't be nervous. She has two beautiful corgis too, Bernie and ... oh gosh I can't remember the little boys name, which I'm sure you already know. Bentley, sounds like you're in for a wonderful day. We'll be looking forward to hearing all about it!!
