Bentley is having his behavior evaluation

So tomorrow Bentley is having a behaviior evaluation with Katie from Courteous Canine in Lutz, FL. I am so excited but nervous at the same time. If you all dont know I rescued Bentley from Animal Services about 2 1/2 months ago. Heartworm postive, tapworm, upper respiratory infection, fungal skin infection. His health is getting better & better everyday & acting like a corgi more & more evryday. Bentley hates the out cat. He all out wants to rip him apart its very scary. He does well with my beagle mix but has shown aggression towards other dogs. I know Katie will help me out so wonderfully with Bentley tomorrow & recommend a training class for Bentley & I to take part of. Keep your fingers & paws crossed for us tommorrow that all goes well. I will update you on how he did. Oh and by the way this is all new to me putting a dog in any type of classes so I guess I'm nervous for myself as well for Bentley.

Comment by Christen & Bentley on July 9, 2010 at 8:44pm: Valerie, his is currently on a slow kill treatment, we go back again on august 4 so I am hoping the vet will check & see if he is negative yet. With so many health problems he had we decided to go with the slow kill treatment, although it takes longer it better than nasty 3 shot treatment.

Comment by Jane Christensen on July 9, 2010 at 8:03pm: I have seen amazing results( this dog growled,barked and carried on most of the 1st 2 classes) with a Jack Russel mix in 3 short classes with a 2nd trainer there just for the dog! I have high hopes for you 2 and eventually you will relax some! I realized after a few classes that the more relaxed I was the better my dog was also! Good luck...you're on your way to more well behaved Bentley!
