I bought this harness on clearance at Petco. I don't think it's meant as a car restraint, but I clipped a seat belt adapter where the leash usually clips on and it works great. It's cool, comfortable and easy to get him into.
We use Potus's harness as his seat belt- there is a D ring on the back where we clip his lead for walks, but it also came with an attachment for the car. It as strap which 'clicks' into the seat belt holder (insert technical name here) on one end, and the other end is a clasp like on leads, which clicks onto the D ring. He's been using it for 2 and a half years and its withstood a few 'slam on the brakes' moments- the pnly side effect sometimes being Potus sliding off the back seat so he ends up in the back seat foot well- a problem that can be fixed with shortening the connection strap. He's always been fine though, usually looks up with a 'what the heck just happened' look. Here's a link for something similar http://http://www.amazon.com/Harness-Safety-Seat-system-12-28/dp/B0...
He has the Medium size and he hasn't been able to go get out of it.
This is the harness we use in the car:

It seems very comfortable and it's easy to put on and take off. Unfortunately I don't know for sure that it is guaranteed/tested for crash safety. I only take the dogs around town generally but I have my doubts if that mesh would hold up in a 70 mph crash.
i dont have a seat belt harness but i do have a soft mesh one that teddy loves and they have these seat belt loops that u can buy attach to the harness heres a link to one: http://www.walkinurdogz.com/leadsseatbelt.htm
