have you guys ever been to color me mine? 

color me mine is an art studio franchise that specializes in ceramics! the idea behind the store is very unique to me, cause i never heard about anything like this before!

basically what you do, is you pick a ceramic of your choice, and you pick all these stencils and colors to paint it with! you have the choice to make it as personalized and customized as you would like! 

i dont know about you guys, but im not the artistic type! but when we got emi, we wanted to do something very special for her since she was our very first baby <3 

before we even got emi, we made a HUUUGEE piggy bank at color me mine for our "doggy fund". i just thought i would like to share mine with other people in case they want to do something special for their fuzzy friend as well, but just dont have the means to do it! i do know that if you are the artsy type, you can paint your own pieces and they are willing to glaze and fire it for you! 

shortly after we got emi, i decided to get her very cheap dog bowls temporarily, because i saw at color me mine, that they had DOG BOWLS! and not just one kind, a whole redonkulous variety of them! we ended up choosing two different ones, because the bowl that i wanted was a little more shallow and square-er (does that make sense) and they only had one of them! the other bowl that they had available that i liked was more round around the edges and very deep! so i made the square one the food bowl and the round one the water bowl! to be fair, i worked on the food bowl while billy worked on the water bowl. needless to say.... the water bowl is definitely not as eccentric as the food bowl LOL :3 but i am very happy that billy participated in the making of our baby's food/water bowls!

 i mean, obviously you can tell these arent very professional: there are alot of spots that needed more coats of paint, and all our lines are squiggly but these bowls made me extremely happy and i loved them!! and of course emi lovees them too ^^ if you guys didnt know "emi" means smile in japanese, and those are the hiragana characters that are written in the food bowl, and the water bowl has the characters "mizu" (meaning water) on the inside, and those are the hiragana characters cause i forgot the kanji for it >______> 

the water bowl doesnt have her name on it, because i was thinking ahead that i would have the "other" puppy and her share the water bowl cause its soooo deep! when the "other" puppy comes, we will go and make her a bowl as well (we will make another water bowl if it proves a challenge to share! LOL)

so overall experience, i LOVE this place! i love being able to make things that noone else could possibly have, CAUSE I MADE IT! very special things for my very special girl! i do want to say that the ceramic pieces cost a reasonable amount, but the sitting fee really puts that extra hole in your wallet -____- i think normally the sitting fee is $10/person so for me and billy, it normally would have been 20 EXTRA dollars to sit and paint, but they are very reasonable with it and have alot of different deals (like tuesdays is buy one get one free) and at other locations that have different specials! i also know if you dont finish your piece, you can bring it back and finish painting it with no additional sitting fee (well they better!).

hers are so cute T_____T she did a really great job as well! her lines are very straight and it looks much more professional than mine :P but to be fair, her boyfriend didnt help much and billy decorated majority of the bowl! teehee :3 wanna know something funny? our boyfriends are best friends too ^^
