Scout's feet have earned her a nickname thanks to my fiance. He has called her "click-click" several times. It's cute.
I had thought, before getting Ellie, that a corgi's feet would be like Yuki's feet. I figured that, since both are white, you wouldn't really be able to see the individual toes unless they were "holding" something while chewing. I was so wrong! I find it fascinating that I can see each of Ellie's toes, even when she's laying down or just standing. And while I do love her bunny butt, I also love her little corgi toes, too!
And boy are they heavy! My son and I figured out (after too many heavy-handed jumps to my solar plexus) that a corgi foot is approx. 1 sq. inch. Lilli weighs 23 lbs, so each foot weighs between 5 - 6 lbs. each. Ouch!
They are also very loud. We often hear "Thunder Paws" approaching at full speed during a frap or a run at the park.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way! I love my corgis' feet: Betsy has dainty paws with beautiful white claws, while Fred has huge, manly paws with dark claws. I think my family is getting tired of me commenting all the time about attractive their feet are, LOL. I just love corgi claws--so strong and curved and badger-like, but I love the shape of their toes even more! I'm so relieved to see this thread, as I was a bit worried that my feelings about corgi feet were abnormal. I have to admit I haven't made a point of smelling them (yet). My daughter heard me talking about this thread and she immediately said, "I agree--they *do* smell like corn chips!" I'll have to check that out. :-)
Oh! Yes! for sure! They always wear socks on. I don't know when they are going to take it off... LOL
I love it!
This is a great observation! I feel the same way! I love corgi feet!!!
And they smell like corn chips!
I agree they have great feet and the way they use them is amazing!
