We have cicadas in this area too, and Marcus LOVES them. They're members of the same family as shrimp though, so they could be tasty...

I'll take a bug over tree limbs! Cash brings the limbs inside (thru the doggie door). I have to clean every day no matter how much I pick up in the yard the night before!!

Our corgi we had growing up used to run down the street chasing grasshoppers with our other dog - so funny watching their heads bob up & down while they ran. Then they'd catch one, eat it, & go after another.

Bugsy lives up to his name, all I need to say :D

Oh yum!!!  Yes!!!  The crunchier the better!  Sometimes they even leave the remains in the house on the living room floor!  Yeah!!!

My female corgi has just started catching the cicadas. Every night she goes searching for them, when she finds one she will snap at it and step on it so it flutters and makes noise. Once she damages the cicada to the point it does not flutter anymore she will eat it. It is kinda gross since they are such big and ugly bugs, but she thoroughly enjoys the fun.
