Dear Weeders
Today was an unhappy day here. Daisy's doctor called yesterday to see how she was doing and asked Momma if Daisy's eye had started tearing when she ate as it should be doing. Since there wasn't much and since there were other signs that Daisy needed to be looked at to be sure she was doing ok, Momma drove her down to Greensboro this morning.
The doctor found that there was a leak in the repositioned salivary duct. So Daisy had to have surgery to fix that today. It took a long time and Momma was worrieder than on Wednesday when Daisy had her first operation. Momma was also feeling really sad that Daisy had to have more trauma added to all she has experienced already in her sweet little life.
So Momma went shopping and gotted us even more cookies -- this time at the REI . . . She says it's one of her favorite stores ever. She has belonged since 1971!!! She also buyed us little flashlight balls for our collars--she sez we look like fireflies running around in the woods . . . but she also sez that she gotted them so's she'll know where we iz when we don't wanna come in when she callz us, whitch is offen.
Momma also gotted herself a couple thingies too, some sox an' a new water bottle (we thinks she should use it for us).
So Momma waited an' waited an' waited. She found the local bookstore an' ated there an' drank coffee. Then she read, an' read, an' read till the fone ringed an' it was the doctor saying she could get Daisy in 2 more hours. Momma was worrieder an' so she boughted herself a couple more books.
When she went to gets Daisy, Momma gots losted in Greensboro during the rushing hour, but she finally gotted herself turned around right an' made it to the clinic. Poor Daisy--her face looks so sore, but she is so good and patient. We all is verwy verwy sad dat dis has happened.
Now we has to pway really really REALLY hard dat God will look after Daisy so her eye will heal right dis time. If it doesn't den there is nuffing else to do for sweet Daisy's eye. We just can't stand for dat to happen.
Momma has cried and cried about poor Daisy. She sez it just isn't fair for a sweet liddle girl to have to go through so much after what she has alweddy gone through as a puppy mill hostage.
Dear Weeders, I hope you will pray for and think good thoughts about our dear Daisy girl. Momma will be taking her to see the doctor in 5 days, but it will be maybe another week after that before we can knows for sure that dis time Daisy's eye will be helped.
So, Dear Weeders, I iz tired from today's worrying, an' I wanna take care of Momma and especially Daisy becawse dey has bofe hads a verwy stressful day. Momma sez she is too tired to sleep. Fortunately Daisy is already asleep. I will guard bofe of them till they iz better.
