Callie has been showing signs of a UTI for a couple of weeks and we took her in and she got antibiotics. Last night she had urine in her pee and she's still be unable to control her bladder. (She's hasn't been on antibiotics for very long) We took her in again this morning and they took some x-rays and they found a mass in her lower abdomen. Her blood work came back normal and all of her organs seem normal so the vet isn't quite sure what the mass it, but she doesn't think it is cancer. The only test that came back with some abnormal thing was that her urine had some bacteria in it, but not enough to show a urinary infection. She has also been eating and drinking just fine and besides for peeing a lot and the blood in her pee last night she has not acted sick.

Callie goes in on Monday for surgery for them to see what the mass is and to try and treat it. She is only 2 years old and it's been hard for me especially since I lost my last dog at 4 years old to cancer. I will keep you guys updated on what happens. Pray for the best!

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers it really does mean a lot. So far today after a nap and her supper she has really perked up and has been her silly self. I think the days up to the surgery are harder on me than on her. I've been giving her lots of belly rubs (which she can never get enough of.)

Oh gosh, Bertie, Ethel and I will have our fingers and paws crossed for good news, just a big benign growth, and all will be well.

Hopefully its a benign growth or something simple to treat. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. I lost my last corgi to cancer too, and she would have been 4 this month, so I know how you feel.
