Thanks. It was traumatic. I always feel like such a failure when I can't "fix" it. And I think in his case, this was just poor breeding and being poked by kids. He was constantly over-stimulated. It was sad to watch. We'd make progress and then he'd go right back to his attacking behavior with no provocation and no warning. Hopefully now he's at peace and enjoying playing with the others over the Bridge.
I'm so sorry. I know you tried your best. I remember another member telling her story about her rescue corgi who also had aggression, actually attacked her badly, and they had to put him down too. Sadly sometimes that's the only option.
