You don't really want any kind of bed in the crate when they are really small. They are likely to have an accident or two in the crate and the bedding would hold the urine scent ,which could make them think that was where they are suppose to go. You can use a towel that can be washed but be aware that they may try to chew it up as they are teething. If you are using a plastic crate I wouldn't put anything in there.

I would use an old bath towel till the pup gets older. At a young age the don't know much about where to go potty so something you can wash or throw is the best:)
