I am not sure how or when Callie hurt her back but I did notice today that she was acting less energetic than normal. I just thought she was tired, but after awhile she started shaking and became clingy. Then I knew something was up. She didn't want to walk anywhere and whined at me when I went to pick her up so I figured I'd have to go to the vet to make sure it wasn't anything worse. So after $108 she got to see the vet and he said it was her back. She has pain killers (which more $) and is not supposed to jump, do stairs, or run... which is hard. Let's hope this isn't the start of life long back issues. She's not even 2.

I want to think this may have happened yesterday when she was playing in the snow... I can't think of anything else that would have caused it.

Our two have had some back strain on and off over the years. I am sure she just tweeked it playing in the snow. Give her a few days of r and r and I'm sure she will be back to normal. PS we keep chewable baby asprin at the house just in cause of such weekend issues. Alot of times that with crate rest for a few days will fix em right up!! Good luck.
