I'd love to know if any of you have hints about getting a dog to wear a Halloween costume.Tasha has been invited already to 2 halloween costume parties. I've never tried to put anything on her except her collar & leash.
Lizzie is pretty good at costumes/clothes. She may be a little fussy when I first put something on her, but if I distract her with toys/ treats / other dogs etc... she forgets she about the clothes!
Seanna's first Halloween we got her a bumblebee outfit, and she matched my daughter's costume. Seanna was absolutely mortified...you could just tell by the look on her face. About 10 minutes before leaving, while we were taking pictures, she began throwing up. I think she did it on purpose. I took pity on her and let her stay home.
We're going with "genteel young ladies at a garden party". They don't mind the dresses but won't wear the hats. I've been following the- "put the costume on + a treat every time" procedure. Good luck!
I'm thinking of just making her a cotton bandana and putting it around her neck over he leash. Then....the big ? will be if she will let me put on the pink poodle skirt I'm going to make......stay tuned!
Noodles costume has arrived and he is going to be a bull with a bull rider on his back. It does have a hat to go along with it, so I've been putting it on him every single day in hopes of getting him used to it. He is doing very well and actually will run around the house in his costume.
