Hurricane Sydney strikes Portland!

She is finally here! Sydney is absolutely adorable. We were up late last night burning off some of that energy she had from being cooped up all day on her way here.

Last night when I fed her she barely ate, but this morning was a bit better. She really seemed to take to her toys right away, which is fabulous.

I am working on her going out in the yard since there are a lot of animals out near me and she has managed to find poo from all of them, I think. Why do animals eat poo from other animals? Ewww. Anyway, I am working on finding a way to get her to avoid that and focus on doing her own business. Very difficult. We are also working on transferring her nips to toys instead of my hands or feet.

Right now, however, I am just enjoying her sleeping by my feet. Eye of the storm...

Take lots of photos the first year 'cause I'll bet some of the black will be turning to tan. Don't show 'em to me though; if I look at many more puppy pics it's gonna cause permanent brain damage.
