KIng came into our lives 11 yrs ago and wow, what a ride it's been. He was just 3 months old and full of puppy love. You know what I mean. Puppy love here, puppy love there. Corgi's don't just live with you, they let you live with them. Everytime I think I've seen it all, he comes up with something new.

I'm new at this, so bear with me until I find my footing. King tells me he will help me.

Well, I finally got a picture and realized that my King, or Puppas as we call him at home, looks like a bum! Sorry, He needs his bath today and a good furmitizing (sp). More pics tomorrow if I can figure out how to run this stupid camera!!!!! As Puppas likes to say, "I love my Momma, but she is really slow with technical thingies." He promised to help me this afternoon. . . . . . . . . .more later. . . .and thanks for all your comments. Puppas loves to hear them. He's only reading at 3rd grade level, so I read them to him.

Can't wait to hear more about King. Sounds like you are as wrapped around those fat paws as the rest of us are. Welcome!

Dear Katherine: Yes, puppies are sweet but nothing compares to the love, loyalty and steadfast devotion of a senior corgi. My Bear is nine and we all look forward to seeing photographs of your King. Great name too!!! I have three corgis - yet Bear will always and forever be my heartdog. All the best from Nancy, Bear, Tasha and fluffy Linus

Your life will never be the same, take it from a cat person. I never cared for dogs. . . my husband wanted one. I didn't want a big dog, he didn't want a "fluffy" lap dog. So we compromised and bought a Corgi. They definitely have the big dog attitude with short stubby legs. My sister (who also owns a Corgi) and I call them stubs! There's nothing funnier than watching a Corgi's stubby legs run across the yard. When they really get going, they start to do the Corgi hop. It's so funny to watch. of course, King, being as old as he is, can't hop too well anymore, but there are days when I see the young pup he used to be. Don't hesitate, give youself a treat today and get a Corgi.
