We are so sad...in May we lost Doc (we had to put him down) and 2 months later, lost Anne, his life long mate (she died in her sleep, very peacefully).  It has been a difficult summer after loosing both of them (Doc was 13 and Annie was 12). Will we ever get over this loss?  All I know, it is extremely difficult now.

Thank you everyone for your comments and support, we really appreciate it.  Days are getting a little easier, but a flood of memories overcomes us often.  We are getting another puppy in November, but not a Corgi. We are going with a miniature Dachshund. Another low-rider!

Just getting back to the site after a spell of houseguests. So sorry to read of Doc's and Annie's passing. That must be very difficult---losing one is heartbreaking enough. Hoping you are finding some peace.

I lost 2 Corgis within 3 weeks! It is hard and I think of them often. I understand. I decided to adopt a rescue and he has helped but I can now think of how they were suffering and realized I did it for them!

I lost three beloved pets ( one was a twenty year old cat ) in a year and a half once so understand your pain. We all grieve differently but a puppy helped me refocus and put my memories in a better place . It is so hard , so let yourself feel the pain and understand that this is really hard. I think often we try to tell ourselves that losing a pet is somehow supposed to be less than losing a human family member but for most of us that is not the case. Hugs to you during this difficult time.

I am sorry you are going through such a difficult loss and hope new love and life will make its way into your home and hearts.  You still have much love to give and to receive, just give it time.

I am so sorry!  Losing one is enough of a heartbreak, losing both so close together is devastating. I don't think we ever get over missing them but the pain is over-shadowed by the good memories of all the wonderful years you had together.  When the time is right maybe you can think of adding a new little one (or even an adult who needs a loving home) to your family, a whole new personality to learn and love.  I wish you prayers of peace and comfort.
