The Luny-Bin is now 3 months old! She is learning quickly by leaps and bounds all the things that I am trying to teach her to do. We had our second Puppy Kindergarten class yesterday - and since she's grown a bit since our last class - she was more willing to play with the bigger pups. She now does "puppy sit-ups": goes from standing - to down - to sitting - and through the process all over again.
She got her pictures taken with Santa yesterday, too! We actually went to both PetSmart and PetCo events. I was greatly disappointed with the quality of the PetSmart Santa and picture - it was definitely not worthwhile. I had brought Mena, my niece, with me to get the pictures done there - as that event started earlier in the day - and they had a cheesy backdrop and hadn't even yet decided who was gonna play Santa. I had to explain to her that you know the real Santa is so busy this time of year that it's just one of his helpers - you can tell when it's not the real Santa. I mean, look at the picture: Luna looks good, but the rest? Come on!
Greatly disappointed - I took Mena home, while she danced with Luna in the car. In the afternoon I took just her to PetCo, hoping that their Santa pictures would turn out better since she's only a puppy for this short amount of time. That picture turned out great - and I'll be using it as a Christmas greeting, so not showing it quite yet.
It's funny, too, that every time I take her to that PetCo she comes away with a free bag of goodies because someone there thinks she's just so cute or smart. Same was true of this trip as we came away with a free bag of treats as well while she showed off what she had learned that morning to a Natural Balance rep.
She met Remington, Kristy's dog, this week - which is great because I
love Remi! It was fun to see them play together, especially given the fact that Remi was really gentle with her, even though she was pulling on his ears and such. It did make me miss River a little, but I am glad that these two now each have a new playmate. I hope that they will continue to be able to play with each other in the future.
