Hum,
Maybe I'm spoiling my dog a bit much, but....
I've found a professional nail grinder with foot pedal, I know it would be easier to control and since I've 2 dogs the investment would be worth it I do believe. Now my question is how functional is it to obtain the bits and such required.
I know that Jazmin has not many issues with it as we had her nails done at Petsmart without too much fighting. But would it be worth it...and besides that could use it for my own personal uses as well, but I'm not admitting to proper nail hygene and upkeep.
Anyways...maybe I'm crazy, more then likely yes.
Sincerely,
Don and crew

Dremel bits should in theory work well, I'm not too worried about going too far due to the fact if you've done that then you've also heated the nail to it hurting anyways.
I could get a cordless dremel, not a bad idea actually and a muti-purpose tool as well. I tend to like to round out the nails for many reasons, the main one is that my neeses and nephews do visit and a few are a bit young. Besides that fact nails reguardless of whom they scratch hurts a bit.
I still use the clippers to remove large amounts of growth should it be necessary, not very often does this happen though...thankfully. The one that scares me to trim is the dew claw, due to its so close to the foot and one slip can be really, reall bad with clippers or the grinder.
Thank you for the information, I'll do more research in to it and let you know what I find.
Don't you think that most of the dog nail grinders are based on the design of Dremel drills? Probably, Dremel
bits would work on them. I have a Dremel that I used for my previously older dogs but bought a new thing
that prevents drilling too far. I didn't want to hurt the baby's little toe nails.
